Before stepping into this role, you must customize your chieftain's appearance by selecting facial features, hairstyles, tattoo patterns, and a starting weapon from a set of available options. Hero System: Recruitment, Leveling, and Equipment

At the start, you control a single hero, but you can recruit additional heroes as you advance through the campaign and complete specific objectives. You select one of your available warriors to face them, moving between hexagonal cells to gain positional advantages. Each cell offers different benefits: some provide defensive bonuses, others increase attack power, and a few allow you to heal or deploy special abilities. You must choose your movements carefully, as enemy units also reposition and attack based on their own AI patterns. Victory requires a combination of unit selection, movement planning, and ability timing—not just raw power.
