2D Platformer: Save Your Friend with Dinosaur Power-Ups

Stuck in a rut with endless runner clones? Super Woody delivers classic side-scrolling action with a unique twist: rideable dinosaurs replace the usual power-up animals. You control Woody, a lumberjack whose friend has been kidnapped by strange, evil creatures. Your mission is to jump, stomp, and ride your way through 30+ levels to rescue them.

The core gameplay is tight and responsive. On the left side of the screen, a virtual gamepad handles horizontal movement. On the right, you have two dedicated buttons: one for jumping and one for attacking (only active when you have a costume that grants an attack ability). Standard platformer rules apply—stomping on enemies from above usually kills them instantly. The physics feel snappy, with precise jump arcs and no input lag, making tricky platforming sections satisfying to master.

Rideable Dinosaurs: Three Distinct Types

Instead of the familiar Yoshi, Super Woody offers a roster of three rideable dinosaurs, each with unique traversal abilities:

• Ground Dinosaurs: Fast runners that can break through certain blocks.
• Water Dinosaurs: Allows swimming through underwater sections without drowning.
• Flying Dinosaurs: Glides over large gaps and reaches high platforms.

Mounting a dinosaur is automatic when you jump on it. Once mounted, you control both Woody and the dinosaur as a single unit. The dinosaur has its own health bar—if it takes too many hits, Woody is thrown off and must remount. This adds a layer of risk-reward strategy to exploration.

The difficulty curve ramps up steadily—early levels teach basic mechanics, while later stages require precise timing and dinosaur management. The water levels, for example, force you to stay on a water dinosaur or risk drowning if you fall off.
