About game King's court
The King's Court: Your Strategy Begins Here
Imagine inheriting a fractured kingdom, its treasury empty, its borders threatened by rival lords. You're not a hero with a sword—you're a ruler with a quill. Every edict you issue, every alliance you forge, and every tax you levy shapes the fate of your domain. King's Court drops you into a living, breathing medieval world where resource management, diplomacy, and tactical combat define your legacy. No hand-holding, no simple quests—just the cold, hard throne.
Core Gameplay & Mechanics
King's Court is a deep role-playing strategy game where you assume the role of a monarch in a procedurally generated realm. Your primary tools are the royal decree system, the council chamber, and the battlefield command interface. The game simulates a dynamic economy, feudal politics, and real-time army management. You start with a single castle and a handful of loyalists; your goal is to unify the land through either conquest, diplomacy, or a combination of both.
- Resource & Economy Engine: Manage five core resources—Gold, Food, Wood, Stone, and Influence. Each province generates resources based on its terrain and population. You can adjust tax rates, build infrastructure (mines, farms, barracks), and trade with neighboring kingdoms via the market interface.
- Council & Diplomacy System: Your royal council consists of four key advisors: the Chancellor (diplomacy), the Marshal (military), the Treasurer (economy), and the Spymaster (intrigue). Each advisor has a loyalty meter and unique skill tree. You can send them on missions, negotiate treaties, arrange marriages, or declare war. The AI uses a weighted decision tree, reacting to your power level and past actions.
- Tactical Battle Mode: When armies clash, the game shifts to a hex-based tactical map. You command up to five unit types: Infantry, Archers, Cavalry, Siege Engines, and Specialists (like healers or engineers). Each unit has health, attack, defense, and morale stats. Terrain (forests, rivers, hills) provides bonuses and penalties. You issue orders via a pause-and-play system, allowing for precise control.
- Dynasty & Heir System: Your ruler ages and can die from battle, illness, or assassination. You must choose an heir from your children, each with randomized traits (e.g., "Brave," "Greedy," "Scholar"). The heir's skills affect your kingdom's stability. A weak heir can trigger a succession crisis, where rival nobles may declare independence.
- Event & Crisis Generator: The game features a random event system with over 200 hand-crafted scenarios. Examples include peasant revolts, plague outbreaks, foreign invasions, and natural disasters. Your choices in these events have long-term consequences, altering province loyalty, resource output, and diplomatic relations. The game logs every major decision in a "Royal Chronicle."
