About game Escape From Chernobyl
The Final Shift at Reactor Four
You are a technical specialist clocking in for what becomes the last shift at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Escape From Chernobyl is a mobile escape-room adventure that faithfully translates the tactile logic of real-life quest rooms into a handheld experience. No gimmicks, no filler—just you, a series of sealed chambers, and the steadily rising radiation meter.
Core Functionality
The game operates as a classic point-and-click graphic adventure. You navigate through six distinct, sequentially locked environments. Each room presents a self-contained deadly scenario—some are control rooms, others are service tunnels or cooling corridors. Your only tools are observation, object interaction, and inventory management.
- Static Scene Navigation: Move between pre-rendered 2D backgrounds. Each screen is a fixed perspective. Tap to move, tap to examine, tap to interact.
- Object Interaction System: Click on any highlighted object to pick it up, rotate it, or combine it with another item in your inventory. Some objects have hidden states—open a drawer to reveal a keycard, flip a switch to unlock a door.
- Inventory-Based Puzzle Logic: Collect up to 12 items per level. Combine items in specific sequences to bypass obstacles. For example, a wrench + a valve handle = access to a steam pipe control.
- Six-Level Campaign: Each level is a new room with a unique escape condition. Difficulty escalates linearly. Level 1 is a tutorial-like control room. Level 6 is a multi-stage reactor core sequence.
- Trial-and-Error Progression: The game does not provide hints. Many deaths are unavoidable on the first attempt. You will die from radiation exposure, steam explosions, and electrical failures. Each death resets the current room but preserves your knowledge of which interactions are lethal.

Why This Works
Escape From Chernobyl does not hold your hand. The puzzles rely on environmental logic—if a pipe is leaking, find a way to seal it. If a door is locked, find the key that fits. The trial-and-error nature means you will fail multiple times per level. This is not a bug; it is the core mechanic. Each death teaches you one more piece of the room's puzzle.
The atmosphere is delivered through sound design—distant alarms, dripping water, the hum of failing machinery. Visuals are dark, with muted colors and low-contrast lighting. The game does not rely on jump scares. The tension comes from the clock and the certainty that every wrong move costs progress.
