About game Dummynation
When Territorial Expansion Meets Resource Scarcity
Dummynation drops you into a persistent global sandbox where every border you push requires precise resource allocation, and every diplomatic alliance carries hidden risks. You begin with a single nation and a finite pool of military, economic, and scientific assets. The core loop: expand your territory through calculated military campaigns, but monitor your supply lines and population morale. Overextension—conquering provinces faster than your infrastructure can integrate them—triggers rebellion, economic collapse, or foreign intervention. The game tracks your nation's stability score in real time, displayed as a percentage that drops when you neglect internal development.
The map is a simplified geopolitical representation of Earth, divided into 200+ provinces, each with distinct resource yields (oil, minerals, food) and population density. You can deploy ground units, naval fleets, and air squadrons, each with specific movement points and combat values. Combat resolution is deterministic: unit strength, terrain modifiers, and supply levels determine outcomes. No random dice rolls—every battle outcome is predictable if you calculate correctly.
Diplomatic Mechanics and Economic Levers
Diplomacy operates through a bilateral relationship system. You can propose non-aggression pacts, trade agreements, or military alliances. Each action consumes diplomatic influence points, which regenerate slowly. AI nations remember your past betrayals—broken treaties reduce trust permanently for that session. You can also trigger proxy conflicts by funding rebel factions in rival territories without declaring war directly.
Economic management requires balancing five sliders: tax rate, military spending, research funding, infrastructure investment, and social welfare. Each slider affects your nation's growth rate, unit production speed, and technological advancement. Neglecting social welfare for too long triggers internal unrest, visualized as protest markers on your core provinces. You can suppress unrest with military force, but this reduces population growth and future tax income.
- Real-time province capture with supply line tracking
- Deterministic combat with terrain modifiers
- Five economic policy sliders with visible trade-offs
- Diplomatic influence points for treaties and proxy wars
Core Tools and Strategic Depth
The game includes a technology tree with 40 unlockable upgrades, organized into military, economic, and scientific branches. Each upgrade requires research points accumulated over turns. You can rush a technology by diverting funds from other sectors, but this creates temporary deficits. The UI displays your current research progress, available resources, and a timeline of past events.
A replay system records every action taken during a session, allowing you to review your decisions and identify mistakes. Victory conditions are customizable: you can aim for military conquest (control 80% of provinces), economic hegemony (achieve a certain GDP threshold), or diplomatic supremacy (form a global alliance network). The game saves automatically at the end of each turn, and you can load any previous save state.
