About app YYP2P
Peer-to-peer file sharing redesigned for speed and control
YYP2P eliminates the middleman in file transfers. Instead of uploading to a cloud server and waiting for processing, this app connects your device directly to another device over the local network or the internet. You send files at the maximum speed your connection allows, without file size limits or server queues. Whether you need to move a 4K video between your tablet and phone or share a folder of work documents with a colleague, YYP2P handles the transfer directly, securely, and without storing your data on any external server.
Direct transfer engine and connection modes
The app operates on a peer-to-peer architecture. When you select a file, YYP2P generates a unique transfer code or scans a QR code from the receiving device. The connection establishes directly between the two devices over Wi-Fi Direct, local network, or an encrypted internet tunnel. This means no data passes through a third-party server. The transfer speed depends only on your local network quality or the upload speed of the sending device. YYP2P supports both one-time file sends and persistent folder synchronization between trusted devices.
Core functionality breakdown
- Unlimited file size transfers – Send any file or folder regardless of size, from a single document to multi-gigabyte video projects, with no artificial caps or compression.
- QR code and code pair pairing – Generate a temporary QR code on the receiving device or share a six-digit numeric code to establish a direct encrypted link within seconds.
- Cross-platform file compatibility – Transfer APK files, ZIP archives, PDFs, images, audio tracks, and any other file type that your device can access, with full filename and extension preservation.
Key advantages over cloud-based alternatives
The primary benefit is privacy. Your files never leave your local network unless you explicitly choose an internet-based transfer. There is no cloud storage, no account registration required, and no server-side logs of your transfers. The app operates entirely offline for local transfers, making it suitable for use in areas with limited internet connectivity. The transfer speed is also significantly higher than cloud uploads because data moves directly between devices at local network speeds (typically 50–100 MB/s on standard Wi-Fi 5 networks, faster on Wi-Fi 6).
Interface and usability design
YYP2P presents a minimal two-panel interface. The sending device shows a file browser with a "Send" button, while the receiving device displays a "Receive" button. After pairing, a progress bar shows real-time transfer speed, estimated time remaining, and total data transferred. The app supports background transfers, so you can switch to other applications while files move in the background. A built-in file manager lets you organize received files into custom folders directly within the app.
Performance optimization features
The app uses chunked transfer protocols that resume from the point of interruption if the connection drops. If a transfer fails mid-way, you can reconnect and continue from the last successfully sent chunk instead of restarting the entire file. YYP2P also offers a "turbo mode" that temporarily disables other network-intensive applications to prioritize file transfer bandwidth. This is useful when you need maximum speed for large backups or bulk photo transfers.
Download mobile app now
Start moving files at full speed without server delays or privacy concerns. YYP2P gives you direct control over every transfer.
Heads up: you'll need Wi-Fi or mobile data for internet-based transfers. Local network transfers work without internet access. Some advanced features like folder synchronization are available as an in-app upgrade.
