The indexer scans thousands of sources from the "Новости и журналы" category, including major international outlets, niche publications, and regional press. The filter, however, is where the utility lies. Users are not confined to a single "Technology" or "Politics" toggle. Instead, Vesti allows for compound topic definitions.

You can, for example, create a filter for "Electric Vehicles" that only includes news from German automotive press and excludes any mention of Tesla stock prices. This granularity prevents the common problem of topic pollution, where a broad keyword returns a flood of irrelevant financial data. The system uses a lightweight semantic analysis to understand context, not just keywords, meaning a report on "Apple" the fruit company will not appear in your "Apple Inc." business feed.
